What is a Podiatrist?.
Podiatry is a specialist area of healthcare, allied to medicine which involves care and maintenance of foot and lower limb conditions.
As podiatrists our aim is to improve the independence, mobility, relieve pain, treat infections and improve the general quality of life of our patients.
A podiatrist can treat a whole variety of foot and foot related conditions.
Who needs to see a podiatrist?
If your feet hurt then this is one way of your body telling you that something is wrong. Foot problems can also be prevented by visiting a podiatrist regularly for a foot health check-up, particularly for those with conditions like Diabetes or Rheumatoid Arthritis. Remember prevention is always better than a cure.
